Arizona car crash kills scooter driver

Motor vehicle accidents are an unfortunate part of modern life. When they are fatal, they sometimes leave more questions than answers, as authorities try to determine exactly what happened, and the loved ones who are left behind wonder if anything could have prevented the tragedy. This is the precise situation facing Arizona police after a recent car crash between a car and a motorized scooter resulted in the death of the scooter driver.

Officials say that the accident happened on a recent early morning at an intersection in Mesa. The scooter operator was said to be idling in the center lane, waiting for the light to turn green. Allegedly, the driver of a sedan did not obey the stoplight and struck the scooter. She had to be removed from her vehicle by first responders and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The scooter driver did not survive the crash.

The driver of the car is said to be facing severe life-threatening injuries. At this time, local police have not announced any plans to charge her with any crime. They say that their investigation hasn’t been completed, as they are still working to determine all of the details.

When a devastating car crash like this one happens here in Arizona, families may not know where to turn. Even if the motorist who might have caused the crash is never charged in connection with this incident, the victim’s family may decide to file a civil claim against her. If litigation were to be successful, it could result in monetary remuneration that could be used to cover the family’s funeral costs, any unpaid medical bills or other expenses that might have resulted from the accident. It may be the first step to healing for a grieving family.
