Teenage girl suffers severe injuries in Arizona car accident

Being a teenager can be an exciting time in an individual's life. Many changes can take place during these years, and getting a driver's license can be one of the events to which most looked forward. However, the excitement of being able to drive may become something that an individual becomes more hesitant about if he or she is involved in a serious car accident.

A 17-year-old girl in Arizona may have more negative feelings toward driving after being involved in a crash. It was reported that the girl was driving along the roadway when her vehicle was hit in the side by an SUV. Specific details on how the collision occurred were not given in the report.

The teenage girl had to be cut from her vehicle by rescue crews in order to receive treatment. It was reported that she suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The driver of the SUV did not wish to receive medical care as he was not severely injured. At this time, it is not believed that alcohol was a condition of the accident taking place.

As the young girl and her loved ones hope for her to recover from her injuries, her parents may also be dealing with the stress of medical bills that will likely accumulate. Medical treatment can be a very expensive necessity, and as a result, the financial strain could be significant. If it is believed that the driver of the SUV could have been responsible for the Arizona car accident, the girl's parent may wish to look into filing a personal injury claim against that driver, which may allow them to work toward gaining reparations that could help pay for medical expenses.
