It was recently reported that, on April 14, a 78-year-old man was struck by a car in the Sun Lakes area. According to the latest news article, the victim was riding his bike in a designated bike lane when the automobile struck his him, throwing him approximately 100 feet. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment; however, he died later the same day.

Accidents involving bicyclists occur far too frequently in Arizona. Sadly, many of them result in serious injuries or, as in this case, fatalities. The victim's surviving family members are now left coping with his unexpected and untimely death, as well as the many financial struggles that often accompany such an event. In accordance with state laws, it may be possible for the victim's loved ones to pursue civil claims against the driver deemed responsible for his death. By taking legal action, the victim's family may be able to achieve monetary relief for any financial fallout endured as a result of this car crash, along with a sense of closure.
