Impairment may have led to fatal car crash in Arizona

Police in Arizona are currently investigating a recent car accident that proved fatal for two teenagers. The car crash reportedly occurred in the Glendale area on Friday, October 14. A third individual is said to have suffered serious injuries as a result of the wreck.

According to a recent report, this incident occurred at the intersection of Camelback Road and 59th Avenue. The driver of a truck allegedly struck a vehicle occupied by the victims. Emergency crews had to free a total of four people from the impacted car, though only three individuals required transportation for medical treatment. Sadly, upon arrival at an area hospital, a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old female were pronounced dead. The third victim was still listed in serious condition as of the latest report.

Authorities are investigating whether impairment was a factor in the car crash. The accident scene was closed overnight to allow the investigation to proceed and for clean up crews to work the area. At this time, no charges have been filed against the individual deemed responsible for the wreck.

Few other details have been reported about this fatal car crash. While little may be known about the victims and the individual believed responsible, this collision has undoubtedly resulted in a number of challenging circumstances from which the surviving victims and the loved ones of the deceased may struggle to overcome. In accordance with Arizona laws, these individuals may have legal recourse. Civil claims may be filed against the driver responsible for this tragic event in the effort to recoup any damages that are deemed recoverable.
