2 suffer personal injury at manufacturing facility

Two individuals were transported to a hospital after being hurt in an incident at a manufacturing facility in Arizona. Details of the incident are few at this time. However, the victims are said to have suffered burn injuries. Those injured may utilize workers' compensation benefits to help cover their losses, but they may also file personal injury claims against those believed responsible in an effort to seek further compensation.

In the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 21, fire crews were called to Southwest Products in Surprise. Upon their arrival, they found that two individuals had suffered burn injuries. How the injuries occurred has yet to be determined. One of the victims -- a 34-year-old male -- is said to have suffered serious injuries, and he was transported to a burn center for care. The other victim, whose age and gender have not been reported, suffered minor injuries.

According to a video which accompanied the written news article, Southwest Products manufactures custom service vehicles and tanks -- among other things. No other details about this particular incident have been released. This accident is still being investigated by authorities.

Just about anyone who suffers a personal injury while at work, including the victims in this case, may access workers' comp benefits in order to have their care, recovery and financial needs covered. According to the state of Arizona, victims of such incidents may also file third party claims against any those believed responsible for their losses (typically excluding the employer and co-workers except in instances of gross negligence). An experienced injury attorney can assist with filing and litigating such claims in civil court.
