Electronic devices proposed for trucks and buses

A proposal that would call for commercial trucks and buses to have electronic devices to recall how many hours the vehicles are in operation is being considered by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. The measure is geared towards reducing the number of fatal accidents involving trucks and buses.

Another recall notice for GM vehicles

A number of our posts lately have focused on the issue of auto recalls. This is important for a number of reasons. Criminal probe launched into GM's knowledge of ignition defect

Federal prosecutors have reportedly opened an investigation into General Motors to find out what the automaker knew about the ignition switch defect that prompted a recall earlier this year. According to a USA Today report, the probe could result in criminal charges being brought.
